Summer Camp Office Admin Assistant Location Smithfield, ME :

Camp Somerset for Girls of Smithfield, Maine is a residential summer camp that opened in 2018. We are currently hiring commuter day staff for an administrative position in the office. Shifts are approximately 7 am - 2 pm or 1 pm -7 pm. Applicants must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends, including every other Saturday and all Sundays. Four shifts per week, approximately 30 hours per week.

Dates of Position: June 3 to August 18

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• First line of contact with vendors, visitors, parents, campers and the public
• Utilize campminder for programming, travel, and correspondence functions
• Answer telephone as needed; reply to office emails
• Communication with parents
• Maintenance, cleanliness, and supply stocking of Office
• Filing, data-input, payment processing, and general clerical duties
• Check voice-mail hourly. Parents should receive immediate callback from secretary relaying that the call was received and the appropriate staff member will be notified and will return their call.
• Check email hourly. Parents should receive immediate email response that the email was received and appropriate action is being taken
• Log mail and packages
• Distribute mail and packages
• Manage supply inventory. Reorder when necessary.
• Make copies
• Assist in camper call hour management
• Print emails from parents in the morning. Distribute camper email/mail at lunch. Bunk Counselors will pick up packages in the office and bring back to the bunks.
• Keep walkie-talkies charged.
