Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to lead on-site operations for residential remodeling and new construction projects. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, skilled communicator, and organized leader who can manage multiple trades while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient jobsite.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

  • Manage all on-site construction operations as the primary company representative.
  • Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure construction is executed according to approved plans, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Enforce adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Oversee jobsite logistics, material deliveries, and work sequencing to maintain efficiency.

Quality and Schedule Management

  • Monitor project progress daily and resolve issues proactively to prevent delays.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including daily logs, photos, change orders, and inspection reports.
  • Conduct quality control checks at each stage and manage punch lists to completion.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Designers to ensure design intent is accurately implemented.

Client and Trade Relations

  • Maintain professional communication with homeowners, architects, and trade partners.
  • Represent the company brand positively in all on-site and community interactions.
  • Participate in client walkthroughs and progress meetings as needed.

Site Safety and Cleanliness

  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance at all times.
  • Keep the jobsite organized, secure, and clean to maintain a professional environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience, remodeling, or custom homes preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building codes.
  • Proven experience managing multiple trades and maintaining project schedules.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable using construction management software (BuilderTrend or similar) and cloud-based documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Hands-on carpentry or construction background preferred.
