IT Manager | St. Johns, MI

Salary Range: $92,000 - $139,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous availability and optimal performance of critical IT and OT systems (e.g., ERP, MES, SCADA).
• Oversee the maintenance, security, and upgrades of network infrastructure, servers, and end-user devices across office and plant environments.
• Develop and implement robust cybersecurity strategies to protect both IT and operational technology (OT) assets.
• Manage IT support operations, providing timely resolution for technical issues impacting production and business operations.
• Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and technology integrations to support manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify technology needs and drive digital transformation initiatives.
• Manage IT vendor relationships and procurement processes for hardware, software, and services.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and applications within a manufacturing operational technology (OT) environment.
• Strong expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) deployment, optimization, and support specifically for manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated leadership in cybersecurity best practices, data integrity, and compliance requirements relevant to industrial control systems (ICS) and production data.
• Experience with IT/OT convergence strategies, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and leveraging technology to drive manufacturing efficiency and innovation.
• Ability to manage IT budgets, lead technical teams, and effectively collaborate with production and engineering departments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Operational Technology (OT) systems like MES, SCADA, or industrial automation.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and Industrial IoT (IIoT) applications.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) with a focus on manufacturing IT projects.
