Job Description

We are looking to hire a part-time Pool Attendant to join the team! This position oversees the safety and cleanliness of the pool area. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all guests are aware of pool rules and regulations, maintaining the pool area and equipment, and providing exceptional customer service to all guests. First aid and CPR certification preferred, but not required. Must be reliable and have excellent customer service skills. Location: Waikiki (Honolulu, HI 96815) Schedule: Must have open availability

• Primarily work schedule: Sunday 8am to 6pm, Monday 10am to 8pm (20 hours a week)
• Available to work various shifts during weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: $18/per hour Key Responsibilities:

• Observe and patrol the pool and make all guests aware of safety regulations.
• Provide excellent service consistent with the hotel’s standards operating procedures and brand attributes
• Greet all guests upon arrival, distribute towels, offer assistance with seating, deliver consistent guest service, exceed guest expectations, and provide all other supporting services
• Remain knowledgeable of hotel facilities and services to answer guest inquiries
• Identify and report defects throughout the pool area, and notify supervisors and concerned departments immediately of hazards, injuries, equipment, or processes that negatively affect the operations
• Ensure swimming pool is clean at all times and report any maintenance issues to the engineering department.
• Ensure the pool deck is swept and watered down and that all furniture is in the correct place when setting up in the morning or breaking down in the evening.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the pool deck and facilities including straightening and stacking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs, and towels, replacing flags, and cleaning signs.
• Work closely with other departments that are essential to ensuring a positive guest experience.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized training in pool operations or hospitality preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and move equipment and supplies as needed.
