Job Description

Position Summary:

Professional translators capable of interpreting and translating from English to target language and vice versa. Target languages include; French, Arabic, Chinese (including Cantonese, Mandarin and other varieties),Tagalog,Vietnamese, Spanish, Swahil, and Somali.

Essential Functions:

Translate district documents from English to target language

Edit district documents translated from English to target language

Ensure that all translations adhere to district policies and procedures
Other duties assigned by the administrator

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Native or near native proficiency in target language, both orally and in writing
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Computer literate, proficient with MS Word and have the ability to type 20 wpm

Experience:

A minimum of one years of experience as a Translator

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Translation, target Foreign Language, or related field OR
A minimum of 1 years of experience as a translator
