Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Math Coach/Interventionist to join our K-4 elementary school. This position plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing mathematics instruction across the building. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure every student receives effective mathematics instruction and interventions.

Responsibilities:

Support building Administrators and staff to analyze mathematics data for the building, including assessment data, to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.

1. Collaborate staff to develop and implement effective intervention schedules and support systems for students struggling with mathematics.
2. Provide high-quality professional development opportunities for teachers, focusing on best practices in mathematics instruction, assessment, and intervention strategies.
3. Work closely with classroom teachers, modeling effective mathematics instruction, co-planning & co-teaching based on student data, and providing constructive feedback to enhance instructional practices.
4. Assist teachers in implementing research-based mathematics interventions and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
5. Participate in data meetings and collaborate with grade-level teams to analyze student progress and adjust instructional plans as needed.
6. Stay current with research and trends in mathematics education, and share relevant information and resources with colleagues.
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress, interventions, and professional development activities.
8. Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees related to mathematics and student achievement.

Qualifications:

1. Elementary Teaching Certification
2. Master's Degree in Mathematics Education or related field
3. Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience K - 4
4. Strong knowledge of evidence-based mathematics instruction and intervention strategies
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and parents
7. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
