Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Math Interventionist to join our PreK-4 elementary school. This position plays a crucial role in providing targeted mathematics support for struggling students. The successful candidate will implement effective intervention strategies while collaborating with teachers and administrators to ensure every student receives appropriate mathematics instruction and support. This position is scheduled to be August 27, 2025 - January 2, 2026.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify students requiring mathematics intervention through comprehensive data analysis, including assessment results and classroom performance indicators.
2. Design and implement effective intervention schedules and support systems for students struggling with mathematics.
3. Deliver targeted, research-based mathematics interventions to small groups and individual students based on specific learning needs.
4. Monitor student progress regularly, adjusting intervention approaches and strategies to maximize growth and achievement.
5. Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention efforts with core instruction and provide strategies for supporting struggling students.
6. Participate in data meetings with grade-level teams to analyze student progress, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and adjust instructional plans.
7. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, intervention strategies used, and outcomes achieved.
8. Stay current with research and evidence-based practices in mathematics intervention, applying relevant approaches to support student learning.
9. Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding intervention plans, student progress, and strategies for home support.

Qualifications:

1. Elementary Teaching Certification
2. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mathematics Education or related field
3. Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience PK - 4
4. Strong knowledge of evidence-based mathematics instruction and intervention strategies
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and parents
7. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
