Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Junior Military Officers (Ranks of 0-1 or 0-2) from the United States Armed Forces for several Distribution Management roles in a Distribution Center in Ashland, VA (NE suburb of Richmond). We will be operating 24/7 so shift times will vary across each department.

• The person will supervise about 4 to 5 Team Leaders who, in turn supervise 20 to 40 people so the Department Managers will typically have from 80 to 200 people who are underneath them depending on which area they are assigned.
• Compensation is $80,000 to $85,000 as the base salary plus a very robust benefits program.
• Shifts will be 8 hours in length. There are a couple of overnight shifts we have available, and they could potentially be 10 hours depending on individual preference. The majority of positions are early morning or more daytime operations.
• Dept Managers have more flexibility in their start / end times due to the business. For example, if they are a produce Dept Manager they may have operational responsibility for a 12-hour window in which produce is received and selected but they wouldn’t be at work for the entire time.

We offer an $8000 relocation lump sum (about $5600 after taxes) to all new Department Managers regardless of where they live. It is paid within the first month of starting work. To receive the lump sum, they are required to sign a 2 year “stay with the company’ type of agreement.
