Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Yard Driver / Yard Dog to join our Lithia Springs, GA plant. This is a 3rd shift, Monday – Thursday, 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM with overtime as needed. We offer competitive benefits and salary, plus up to $1.00/hr increase after 90 days. You will drive tractor trailer trucks within our congested yard, hooks up trailers to tractors, unhooks trailers, organizes trailers and tractors within the yard space, and unloads bulk tankers into silos. This job is intended to help facilitate quick and easy loading and unloading of trucks, as well as inspecting those trucks and preparing them for transport. You will also work closely with all departments in the facility, including Production, Maintenance, and more. You will work in a team environment with an opportunity to advance in your career with Custom Building Products.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Drive tractor trailer trucks within our congested yard, 
• Hook and unhook up trailers to tractors
• Organize trailers and tractors within the yard space
• Unloads bulk tankers into silos
• Receive instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, orderly work environment
• Ready and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

About You

We Require:

• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
• Experience in a similar position and/or CDL driving experience.
