What You'll Do
As a part-time Teacher, you'll play a vital role in supporting students on their educational journey. You'll engage with students and their families, provide personalized guidance, and collaborate with fellow educators to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
Homeroom Support:
Provide weekly encouragement and accountability for students
Offer additional learning resources tailored to each student's needs
Communicate with parents via email, offering guidance and support
Community Engagement:
Lead synchronous learning sessions for small or large student groups
Develop engaging lessons and activities to enhance student learning
Student Success Mentorship:
Mentor students enrolled in specific courses
Provide tutoring support as needed
General Responsibilities:
Identify at-risk students and coordinate intervention strategies
Collaborate with other Teachers to share expertise and best practices
What We're Looking For
Current teaching certification
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Passion for individualized learning and student success
Friendly, organized, and patient approach to teaching
Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)
Ability to quickly learn and navigate online learning platforms
Self-motivated with strong time-management skills
Reliable access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, and webcam
Availability of 15-20 hours per week, with responsibilities during core business hours (10 AM - 3 PM MT)
Eligible to work in the U.S. (must reside in an approved location)
Experience in non-traditional or online education programs is a plus
Compensation & Additional Information
Starting hourly pay: $20+ (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Training & Support: Comprehensive orientation, self-guided training, and ongoing professional development
