Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
Location: Syracuse, NY 13215
Type: Contract | 14 Weeks
Shift: Nights, 5x8-hour shifts (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Pay Rate: $28 – $30/hr
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)for an exciting job in Syracuse, NY.
Responsibilities:
Decontaminate, disinfect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Operate sterilization systems including steam autoclaves, Steris, and Sterrad units.
Perform and document quality checks to ensure the safety and functionality of instruments.
Prepare and organize both simple and complex surgical instrument trays.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance.
Respond promptly to urgent and emergency requests from clinical staff.
Adhere to aseptic techniques, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Central Service Technician or completion of a nationally accredited central service technician exam.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Central Service Technician in a healthcare setting (may substitute for certification).
Must successfully complete pre-employment health screening.
