SUMMARY
NHL Enterprises, L.P. is seeking an attorney with experience in trademark and copyright transactional matters, and trademark, production and content clearances.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide legal support in connection with trademark and copyright transactional matters and intellectual property clearances, including trademark, production and content clearances, including:
Advising on, drafting, and negotiating production agreements, distribution agreements, intellectual property licenses, and related agreements (including talent and influencer agreements), as well the intellectual property provisions of sponsorship, technology, media, events, and other agreements
Reviewing, evaluating and advising on IP rights (including third-party use) and clearance matters for short-form and long-form content for distribution on all forms of media (e.g., television and digital media (including social media))
Advising on all facets of intellectual property across all forms of media, including brand usage, trademark protection, content, licensing, production, creative services, and marketing
Working on other matters as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
10+ years of relevant legal experience in intellectual property, licensing, production, and/or content clearance. Law firm and in-house experience preferred
Significant transactional experience negotiating, structuring and drafting commercial agreements with intellectual property/licensing components
Superior drafting and communication skills and attention to detail
Strong ability to work independently, proactively prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to balance and accomplish effectively multiple quantitatively and qualitatively challenging tasks
Preferred
Law firm experience

SALARY RANGE:
$215-230K
Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
