Job Overview:

• We are seeking a School-Based Social Worker (MSW) to support elementary school students in Dutchess County, NY.
• This full-time role is ideal for clinicians who want a predictable school schedule, manageable caseloads, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through prevention, early intervention, and counseling services.
• This position offers strong clinical supervision, training toward licensure, and long-term professional growth in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide substance abuse and violence prevention and intervention services
• Conduct screenings, assessments, intakes, and referrals
• Deliver individual and small group counseling using evidence-based approaches
• Facilitate classroom-based educational sessions
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Lead parent and faculty workshops
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and clinical teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Population Served:

• Elementary school students (K–8)
• Presenting concerns include social anxiety, academic challenges, emotional regulation, early mental health concerns, and experimentation with alcohol or substances

Qualifications:

Required:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field

Preferred:

• Experience working with children, adolescents, or school-based/community mental health
• Interest in prevention-focused, school-based work

Supervision & Professional Development:

• Weekly individual supervision toward clinical licensure
• Weekly group supervision
