Job Description

We are currently hiring a Shop Helper – Tape Head for a full-time 1-year contract position in Houston, TX (77060) . This is a hands-on role paying $19/hr , ideal for individuals with at least one year of manufacturing or shop experience. The Shop Helper will assist in setting up, operating, and maintaining tape head equipment and CV lines within a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity to join a stable team and build your skills in a safety-focused, collaborative setting.

Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM (depending on needs)
• Candidates must be open to working different shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, monitor, and operate CV line(s) and related manufacturing equipment under direct supervision.
• Perform tape head operations including cleaning, setup, loading, and unloading of products and devices.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, quality standards, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and production instructions.
• Conduct routine quality assurance checks as required by engineering and ISO specifications.
• Train and support other team members as needed to promote a collaborative work environment.
• Accurately follow verbal and written instructions and maintain clear documentation of activities.
• Support team projects and participate in ongoing skill development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or shop setting.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and follow detailed processes.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with general hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to safety.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as business needs change.
