Solutions That Empower People, Inc.(STEP), a multifaceted community action agency, has an opening for a part-time Senior Meals Driver in FranklinCounty, VA. The Senior Meals Driver will deliver meals to participants of theSenior Meals Program while providing friendly interaction, monitoring mealtemperatures, distributing menus and program information, and observingparticipants’ general health and well-being. This position also includescompleting required documentation, collecting donations, and respondingappropriately to emergencies when necessary.
Thequalifications for this position include a High School Diploma, a validVirginia Driver’s License with a good driving record, strong communication andtime-management skills, the ability to work well with senior citizens, and theability to follow verbal and written instructions. Experience working withdiverse populations is preferred. Candidates must be able to lift and carry upto 40–45 lbs. for short intervals and push or pull up to 300 lbs. on a wheeleddevice. All required background checks must be successfully completed.
This isa part-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
