Location: Lima, OH

Salary: $15/hour

**

PURPOSE OF POSITION**

The floor manager supervises daily operations on the cafe floor, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient workflow, and a welcoming atmosphere. They coordinate baristas and support staff, manage shift schedules and breaks, handle customer concerns, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met. The floor manager also monitors product quality, assists during busy periods, manages cash handling procedures, and communicates with upper management to maintain consistent service and operational standards.

RETAIL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Oversees drink preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
• Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and customer experience.
• Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
• Manages inventory and purchases food and supplies.
• Coffee: Packaged and bulk
• Chocolate: Packaged and bulk
• Tea: Packaged and bulk
• Conducts daily inspection of store and equipment, to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
• Maintains sales records and tracks cash receipts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures quality of chocolate, coffee & tea products are maintained and served at the highest of standards.

REQUIRED SKILL AND ABILITIES

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other retail guidelines.
• Demonstrates an enthusiasm for the Winans Chocolates and Coffee business that flows over into the team and customers.
• Displays a welcoming attitude to all customers that creates an atmosphere where people can have a positive experience that adds to their day.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

• High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred.
• Previous restaurant/retail experience required; management experience preferred.
• ServSafe is not a requirement but preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to traverse all parts of the store quickly.
• Prolonged standing up to 8 hours with minimal breaks.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
