The Opportunity:
Grafana Labs is looking for a Regional Marketing Manager to lead and execute data-driven, high-impact marketing initiatives across the region. This role is ideal for a marketing professional with a strong field and regional marketing background, demand generation expertise, people management capabilities, and experience with virtual and in-person event execution. You’ll be instrumental in building marketing programs that directly support sales pipeline goals and regional growth strategies.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Driving adoption and demand generation programs to build pipeline, generate qualified leads, and increase brand awareness
Leading quarterly planning with regional sales leadership to define and prioritise strategic marketing objectives
Collaborating with sales to develop integrated ABM (Account-Based Marketing) campaigns aligned with corporate and regional strategies
Planning and executing a wide range of programs including in-person events, regional webinars, trade shows, and Grafana-hosted activities
Developing marketing plans with defined goals, budgets, timelines, and KPIs; managing event execution and reporting
Creating post-event feedback loops through surveys, executive summaries, and reporting
Collaborating with the broader regional marketing team to share learnings and drive program innovation
Monitoring and reporting on the performance of campaigns and marketing investments using dashboards and regular pipeline reviews
Leading the regional partner and channel marketing strategy, with a focus on high-value joint marketing opportunities
What Makes You a Great Fit:
5+ years of experience in field/regional marketing or a closely related marketing discipline
Demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning and execution of marketing programs in collaboration with sales
Skilled in aligning regional activities with broader go-to-market motions, including open source engagement
Proficient in using Salesforce for campaign management, reporting, and data accuracy
Willingness to travel up to 40% to support events and team activities
Flexible and able to work across time zones when needed
Strong communication and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
Fluent in business-level Japanese, both written and verbal
Bonus Points For:
Experience with marketing tools such as Splash, Marketo, Clearbit, DemandTools, and Google Analytics
Background in open source go-to-market strategies
Familiarity with partner/channel marketing planning and execution
In Japan, the range for this role is 10M -13M JPY. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable), and other benefits listed on our careers page.
