NIKA is hiring for a Junior Medical Facility Planner who will provide support services to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) working out of the San Antonio, TX or Falls Church, VA offices. We are also open to remote candidates if necessary.

Description:
The primary role of a Junior Health Facility planner is to develop and manage a project from inception to 35% design. The Planner assumes the assignment from the CSM leadership and begins the development of all project artifacts through the facilitation of meetings with users at various levels within DHA, public works, contract agents, and other offices. The document development communicates the intent, requirement, and details to have a project approved and funded. The Planner follows the project through 35% design ensuring the integrity of the project. The planning role frequently requires the development of project related scopes of work.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in orientation of DHA Facilities Enterprise health facility planning teams.

Assist in organizing and developing materials needed for orientation and training.

Advise DHA Facilities Enterprise leadership on business process improvement opportunities with regard to integration, operation, and orientation requirement.

Assist in conducting requirements analyses including population, direct and purchased care workload, healthcare services utilization, review of network adequacy evaluation, and projection of future requirements by product line.

Assist in preparing scope of work statements for specific project requirements such as traffic studies, transportation studies, and healthcare requirements analysis to name a few.

Assist in participating in diverse planning and project development teams and conduct site visits.

Assist in presenting facility planning process and methodology to executive leadership at local, regional, and headquarters levels within DHA, Service Medical Agencies and Defense Health Networks (DHN).

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of  years of government healthcare planning and design experience.

Bachelors degree in architecture or engineering.

US Citizen

Ability to obtain security clearance.
