Job Description

The Production Manager is primarily responsible for leading high-level production strategy to ensure a flawless execution of content across video, photo, and cross functional campaigns. This role plays a vital role in strengthening the production infrastructure, coaching talent, and driving YouVersion’s mission. The Production Manager serves as the operational and creative leader to develop production systems, ensure high-impact content execution, and guide team members. This role utilizes their skillset to deliver outcomes that align with the direction of their team to further Life.Church’s mission and to reach people for Christ.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the end-to-end production process for select video, photo, and cross-platform storytelling campaigns. Providing guidance from pre-production through post.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Creative and key Directors to translate creative vision into clear, executable production plans.
  • Provide on-site leadership at shoots when needed, ensuring execution aligns with the creative brief and brand expectations.
  • Source and manage freelance crew, talent, and contractors for video, photography, and other storytelling efforts.
  • Oversee and manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and vendor relationships across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to build and maintain scalable systems for creative production workflows that reduce bottlenecks and increase quality.
  • Coach and collaborate with Creative team members to expand leadership, strengths, and project impact.
  • Work cross-functionally with team leads in Brand Voice, Filmmaking, Product, Donor Development, and others to ensure seamless alignment.
  • Identify and proactively solve logistical and creative challenges to maintain project momentum and quality standards.
  • Champion YouVersion’s creative values by delivering world-class content that is both inspirational and missionally effective.

Skills Needed to Succeed
  • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation.
  • Effective at multitasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
  • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.
  • Deep knowledge of production processes(video, photography, post-production, budgeting, vendor management, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage high-stakes, high-visibility projects with excellence under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Agile workflows or other iterative project management systems is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3 + years of experience in creative production, preferably in agency, film, broadcast, or nonprofit storytelling environments.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with creative directors, designers, writers, and external partners.
