Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive Product Owner to support a Product Manager in the Order Management / Order-to-Cash (O2C) domain. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, the Product Manager, user research & design, and technical teams, ensuring the delivery of high-value solutions that optimize O2C processes.

Your focus will be on translating strategic goals into actionable tasks, managing the product backlog, and driving continuous improvement in order management, invoicing, fulfillment, and cash collection workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to understand the product vision, strategy, and priorities, ensuring alignment between business objectives and development activities.
  • Manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlog for O2C features, enhancements, and bug fixes, ensuring it reflects business value and stakeholder needs.
  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements from stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT, translating them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Scrum team, clarifying requirements, providing feedback, and ensuring that deliverables meet acceptance standards.
  • Support sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives; actively participate in daily stand-ups and backlog grooming sessions to maximize team productivity and value delivery.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in O2C, recommending process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure transparency of product status, backlog priorities, and progress to all stakeholders, facilitating communication between business and technical teams.
  • Assist the Product Manager in stakeholder management, product roadmap development, and strategic planning activities.
  • Oversee the implementation of order management system changes, ensuring alignment with compliance, scalability, and business process requirements.
  • Support user acceptance testing, training, and change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new O2C features and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within Order Management, Order-to-Cash, or ERP environments.
  • Strong understanding of O2C processes, including order entry, fulfillment, invoicing, and cash application.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing product backlogs.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Familiarity with ERP (SAP), CRM, or order management systems; experience with process automation is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.

Role in Relation to Product Manager

  • The Product Owner works under the guidance of the Product Manager, focusing on execution and delivery of the product vision and roadmap.
  • Acts as the tactical lead for backlog management and requirements clarification, enabling the Product Manager to focus on broader strategy, stakeholder engagement, and market analysis.
  • Ensures that development efforts are aligned with the Product Manager's strategic goals and deliver measurable business value.
