Job Description

Job Summary:

The Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials according to production schedules and customer specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate printing presses based on job orders and production specifications.
• Monitor press operations to ensure proper color registration and print quality.
• Load and adjust materials such as paper and ink to meet production needs.
• Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on press equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues and coordinate repairs when needed.
• Maintain production records and follow all safety and company policies.
• Keep work area organized and free of hazards.

Qualifications:

• Previous printing press or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of press setup, ink handling, and mechanical adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality production.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Dependable and able to work both independently and in a team environment.

Schedule:

Monday – Wednesday and every other Thursday

(Full-time schedule; overtime may be available as needed.)

Work Environment:

• Industrial print manufacturing facility.
• Exposure to ink, solvents, machinery, and noise.
• PPE and adherence to all safety standards required.
