Location: Houston, TX 77030 (Texas Medical Center)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: $60/hr DOE

Deans Professional Services is seeking a skilled Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join a high-performing pediatric heart program in Houston's Texas Medical Center. This is a unique opportunity to work in a specialized, fast-paced environment providing advanced imaging for critically ill pediatric patients.
In this role, you will collaborate with experienced cardiologists, surgeons, and critical care teams, using the latest technology to deliver accurate, life-saving diagnostics for congenital heart conditions.
Position Highlights
Perform echocardiograms across multiple settings including NICU, PICU, CVOR, cath labs, and outpatient clinics
Utilize cutting-edge imaging equipment such as Philips IE33 and GE systems
Work with patients requiring heart transplant, VAD, and ECMO support
Engage in ongoing training and mentorship in pediatric cardiac imaging
Be part of a collaborative, mission-focused team
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiac Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or Sonography Technology preferred
Minimum of 2 years recent experience in pediatric cardiac sonography
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
One of the following credentials is required:
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
Note: RCS or RDCS (Adult Echo) must obtain RCCS or RDCS (Pediatric Echo) within 18 months of hire
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive congenital echocardiograms and analyze patient history
Collaborate closely with cardiologists and healthcare teams across inpatient and outpatient settings
Assist in mentoring new sonographers and support departmental training initiatives
Maintain equipment and perform quality control procedures
Participate in an on-call schedule as required
Contribute to performance improvement and continuing education efforts
