We are seeking a Patient Services Representative II to join our team.

This role will involve providing high-level administrative and front-office support within a busy Interventional Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare administration, patient scheduling, referrals, and electronic medical records, along with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and operational excellence.

The Patient Services Representative II plays a critical role in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and timely coordination of care. As patient volumes continue to grow, the Patient Services Representative II will support new and specialized procedures while maintaining a high standard of service quality. The Patient Services Representative II provides essential administrative and operational support within the Interventional Radiology department. This role ensures efficient patient scheduling, accurate record management, and seamless coordination between patients, providers, and clinical staff. The Patient Services Representative II is responsible for handling front-office workflows that directly impact patient experience and department efficiency.

With the introduction of new procedures and increasing patient volumes, the Patient Services Representative II supports timely access to care by managing referrals, authorizations, and documentation. This position requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments for Interventional Radiology services.

  • Process, track, and follow up on patient referrals to ensure timely coordination of care.

  • Manage patient check-in and check-out, verifying demographic and insurance information.

  • Upload, scan, and process external medical records and reports into the electronic medical record system.

  • Assist with prior authorizations, pre-procedure coordination, and required documentation.

  • Collaborate with medical assistants, coordinators, and providers to maintain continuity of care.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality standards, and organizational policies.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare administrative or front desk role.

  • Experience with patient scheduling, referrals, and care coordination in a clinical or hospital setting.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (Epic experience preferred).

  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-facing healthcare environment.
