Oracle DBA - L3
Location: Dallas TX - Hybrid
Duration: Contract 12+ months
Minimum 7+ Yrs. relevant experience on Oracle 12c/18c/19 Database Administration
Candidate should be able to quickly understand and resolve issues, mitigate risks and dependencies, and the ability to drive projects and resources to completion
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and documentation skills. Actively participate in service improvement plans.
Should be able to drive the critical issues and effectively communicate over the calls.
Monitoring the overall functioning of the process and identifying improvement areas. Should be ready to work as On-call as per the requirement.
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills. should have worked extensively on Production systems
Should have basic knowledge of Solaris / Linux / Veritas Cluster etc. Identify and Drive Automation Areas and service improvement efforts.
Should be having good scripting knowledge. Should be able to drive the critical issues and effectively communicate over the calls.
Extensive experience with Exadata Dat: e Migration, Installation, Upgrades, and Patching.
Manage database objects like Table space, users, Indexes, roles, privileges, profiles, DB links, and synonyms.
Configuring and Administering the Oracle 12c, 18c and 19c. Proficient in logical backup and recovery using data pump, export/import.
Strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
Should be good in performance tuning using (AWR, Explain the plan).
Hands-on experience in Database Cloning Automatic Storage Management Initialization of Parameters
Should have experience in Backup and Recovery Strategies planning using RMAN.
Extensive experience in Database patching. Upgrade of Oracle Databases from 12c to 18 /19c. Flash Recovery Features & Flash back query Managing Alerts and Notifications
Should have experience in partitioning of tables. Cross-platform transportable Tablespaces.
Excellent Knowledge of implementation, configuration, and Data Guard / RAC (Real Application Clusters), including implementation, configuration, Administration, and troubleshooting issues. Experience working with the development team during design sessions to provide performance and scaling inputs
Experience with troubleshooting problems relating to the Oracle database that may originate or exist in the infrastructure that supports the data store, including application server, network, storage, and operating system component/layer - Exadata feature enablement, monitoring, review, and update placement strategy - Working knowledge on Exadata and above platforms.
Experience with Data Guard setup and management Good Experience with exachk.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM13c). Experience with Patch/Upgrade and release management (database, storage node, server, network, Oracle Exadata)
Develop and maintain system documentation related to your Oracle Exadata and software configuration Apply process and architectural improvements to continually improve the availability, capacity, and performance of database systems
Extensive working knowledge of utilities like Data Pump, Export / Import.
Managing high-severity critical incident issues and calls Working on Root Cause Analysis and problem tickets, both pro-active and reactive.
Prior experience working in a DevOps / Agile environment will be an advantage Working knowledge on ITSM tool - JIRA Technical Skills
Secondary - PostgreSQL DBA Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database systems. Monitor database performance and optimize for efficiency and reliability. Implement and manage database backup and recovery processes. Ensure database security and compliance with organizational policies. Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly. Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations. Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
