Job Description

We are looking for a candidate that has experience in GDPS and REXX .

1. Installation, upgrade and maintenance of VTAM, TCPIP, OSA and related products
2. Sound knowledge in SMPE
3. Interface with operations, logs and automation jobs.
4. Good knowledge of related software and tools.
5. Good experience with software maintenance.
6. Experience in backup and recovery processes for subsystems.
7. Knowledge in resource definition, security and other administration tasks.
8. Strong Networking knowledge, skills in Printers configuration, FTP, SMTP, SNMP configurations.
9. Experienced technician with basic skills in most and more advanced skills in some of the following:
   1. TCP/IP and associated products/protocols
   2. SNA, VTAM, APPN/Enterprise Extender
   3. Connect Direct and other file transfer products
   4. Session Management products eg. TPX, Teleview, CL/Supersession
   5. Network Management products eg. NETVIEW, Netmaster/TCPIP
   6. Print server products eg. VPS

1. Must be a self-starter, but also a completer/finisher who ensures that tasks/projects are fully completed with the necessary updates to documentation.
2. Well organized and able to keep a number of activities in progress in parallel, balancing priorities as necessary, in particular between support and project work.
3. Ability to communicate clearly at all levels while working either individually or as a team player is essential.
4. Strong English language skills are a requirement for this role.

Proficient in REXX coding
