Job Description
Description We are actively seeking an Entry Level Auditor to join our team based in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in conducting payroll audits, verifying compliance with Trust Agreements and Collective Bargaining Agreements, and ensuring accurate and complete reports from external audit firms. This role also necessitates interaction with various stakeholders, including management, staff, and external contacts.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct payroll audits of production companies in a detail oriented and timely manner
- Verify compliance with Trust Agreements and Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of audit reports prepared by external audit firms
- Draft billing letters in line with our collection and schedule policy
- Resolve disputed claims with signatory companies or members promptly and respectfully
- Assist in research and allocation of payments received as a result of audit billings
- Maintain records of all correspondence with companies regarding outstanding audit billings
- Collaborate with other auditors as requested by the assistant manager or manager
- Prepare and write consideration packages for resolution by the Legal and Delinquency committee and the Authenticity sub-committee
- Schedule audits, perform necessary field work and research, and prepare preliminary audit findings
- Analyze and review reports prepared by external auditors to verify contributions due, compute interest and/or audit fees, and prepare final billing
- Support the Collection Department with follow-ups on billing, including documenting phone calls and resolving any claims
- Answer participant queries in a timely and respectful manner
- Undertake special projects to meet department goals as required by your supervisor and/or manager. Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an auditing role
- Proficient in audit compliance and understanding audit findings
- Experience in both internal and external audits, including annual external audits
- Strong customer service skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in data entry tasks, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to handle both inbound and outbound calls professionally
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience in managing email correspondence effectively and professionally
- Ability to schedule appointments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge and understanding of auditing principles and financial audits
- Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance during audits
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel for audit data management and analysis.
