Job Description
Summary Creative Learning Center (CLC) is currently hiring a janitor or cleaner to keep the building in clean and orderly condition. Work to keep the building, classrooms, and playground in a clean, safe, orderly condition. The janitor or cleaner will be required to perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and empty and removing trash and notifying management of repairs that are needed to maintain the building.
Duties - Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
- Steam clean or shampoo carpets.
- Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings.
- Shampoo Carpets/Rugs
- Stock restrooms with supplies
- Wipe down walls, doors, baseboards and etc.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines or equipment
- Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours or checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
- Clean furniture and fixtures
- Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings.
Requirements - Able to work late evenings
- Comfortable working around children
- Willingness to learn and grow in a team environment
- Physically able to be on your feet during work; walking, bending, stooping, reaching.
- Must have ability to work with little to no supervision and be able to independently determine tasks to complete on a daily basis.
- Communication skills
- Assist with putting up and removing seasonal decorations and displays throughout the year.
- Able to secure the building
Nice To Haves - High School Diploma or Equivalent

About Us Creative Learning Center is a childcare center located in Beaumont,Texas that provides care for children 6 weeks to 13 years old. Our hours of operation is Monday thru Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
