We are seeking an experienced Inspector/Senior Construction Inspector for an active NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC) infrastructure project involving watermain / sewer / roadway reconstruction . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, public works, and field inspections on large-scale urban projects.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily site inspections of contractor work to ensure compliance with DDC specifications and approved plans
Monitor construction activities including installation of water mains, sewers, and roadway elements
Record field conditions, quantities, and maintain detailed inspection logs
Coordinate with the Resident Engineer (RE), contractors, city agencies, and utility companies
Identify and report non-conforming work and safety concerns
Assist in reviewing shop drawings and submittals as needed
Ensure compliance with NYC DOT, DEP, DDC, and OSHA standards
Submit Daily Inspection Reports and photographs
Qualifications:

Minimum 3 5 years of experience on NYC DDC infrastructure projects
Prior experience with NYC DDC, DOT, or DEP infrastructure construction (required)
Familiarity with NYCDDC Construction Manual, Standard Specifications, and NYCDOT rules
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification (required)
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or NICET Certification (Level II or higher preferred) in Construction or Highway/Utilities Inspection
Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
