Seeking Housekeeping Aide candidates with relevant Government And Public Services Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Government And Public Services Sector Clients such as DOS. Provide services and support as a Housekeeping Aide [Temporary Staffing] in the Government And Public Services Industry Sector focusing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as Department of State (DOS) | Office of Acquisitions | U.S. Mission to the United Nations Generally Located In CONUS - New York, NY and across the Mid Atlantic Region (Of Country/World) delivering seamless household care and meal support with precision, professionalism, and hospitality every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Housekeeping Aide | Temporary Staffing [DOS0009008]

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all residence areas: living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and managing laundry services.
• Care for and maintain furniture, fixtures, appliances, and household supplies.
• Provide waitstaff support for official functions such as receptions, dinners, and other events.
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals tailored to residents’ needs and guest preferences.
• Accommodate dietary restrictions and maintain proper kitchen cleanliness, storage, and food inventory.
• Adhere to public health safety and hygiene standards (food safety, sanitation, handwashing, gloves, hairnets).
• Communicate effectively with residence staff and demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Minimum 2 years of combined housekeeping and cooking experience.

• Physical ability to lift/move items up to 20 lbs. and perform manual household tasks.

Education / Experience Requirements /

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Professional training or certifications in hospitality, housekeeping, or culinary services desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage household responsibilities and meal preparation for 2–5 people.

Skills Required

• Proficiency in cleaning techniques, tools, and use of common household appliances (washer, dryer, vacuum, iron, dishwasher).
• Cooking and meal preparation skills with ability to tailor menus to preferences and dietary needs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Ancillary Details Of The Roles

• The Housekeeping Aide shall provide waitstaff and hospitality support during official receptions, dinners, and private events. This includes table setting, serving meals, beverage service, and maintaining a professional and discreet presence while ensuring guests’ needs are met.
• The Housekeeping Aide shall monitor and manage household supplies, including cleaning products, toiletries, and kitchen stock. This responsibility includes restocking, tracking usage, and coordinating replenishments to ensure uninterrupted operations and readiness for both daily living and special events.

• 40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri, flexible for evenings/weekends/holidays.
