About the Role

As Founding Senior Engineer, you’ll work closely with their CTO to build and scale the mobile experience of MeAgain.

Reports to: CTO Key responsibilities

• Ship high-impact features across our React Native mobile app with exceptional performance and polish
• Collaborate tightly with design and product to bring intuitive features to life
• Contribute to engineering best practices for mobile development, testing, and deployment
• Lead feature development from zero-to-one, with urgency and autonomy

• Experience
• Proven track record of shipping feature(s) in consumer-grade applications (significant involvement, not editing the like button)

• Skillset
• Expert-level React and TypeScript proficiency
• Ability to implement Figma designs with high fidelity (you understand the subtle differences between drop shadows and borders and can always tell if the design looks different from the final product)

• Personal
• Comfortable operating with high agency, high urgency, and a high bar for quality
• Based in NYC or willing to relocate - this is an in-person role

70% of Nice-to-Haves need to be met

• Deep React Native experience, including advanced performance profiling and optimization
• Experience with animation libraries (e.g. Reanimated, Lottie, Rive)
• Background in health tech, behavior change, gamification, or AI-driven products.
• You've been a technical founder or early engineer at a high-growth startup
• Proficient with backend systems or APIs (Node, Python, or similar)
