**Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist**
**Job Description**
As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager support for a significant building. You will be responsible for implementing EHS programs, establishing and improving safety culture, and interfacing cross-functionally with different departments and teams to drive EHS efforts. Your role will include overseeing the assigned EHS Consultant onsite and communicating EHS program needs and updates to stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**
+ Provide EHS Manager support for the building.
+ Implement EHS programs to ensure compliance and safety.
+ Establish and improve the safety culture within the organization.
+ Interface cross-functionally with different departments and teams.
+ Drive EHS efforts where needed to achieve organizational goals.
+ Oversee the assigned Senior EHS Consultant onsite.
+ Effectively communicate EHS program needs and updates to stakeholders.
+ Assess current practices and performance to identify areas for improvement.
+ Make continuous improvements to the EHS program.
+ Engage with employees at all levels within the organization on relevant EHS items.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in safety, EHS, OSHA regulations, and environmental safety.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ A minimum of 5 years within the EH&S field.

**Work Environment**
The position reports to the Director of Facilities and operates Monday through Friday, with working hours from either 7 am to 3:30 pm or 8 am to 4:30 pm. The role does not require managing any direct reports.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of South San Francisco, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
