Required Relevant Education & Experience High School diploma or GED
Required Field(s) of Study Student must have and maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
Preferred Relevant Education and Experience Student will have taken at least two (2) of the following courses:
• CRIM 316, Criminal Justice Report Writing
• CRIM 375, Victimology
• CRIM 396, Criminal Justice Research Methods
• CRIM 416, Symposium in Criminology: Serial Killers
Student has at least Junior standing
Student has prior internship experience

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The student will help a faculty member collect information to further develop and update a database on public mass shootings. The student will need to use good critical thinking skills to properly categorize each incident and assign each incident with the appropriate indicating labels. After the database has been fully developed, the student will help the faculty member to make the database publicly available.
