Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to provide leadership and coordination across all phases of commercial and healthcare construction projects , including ground-up builds, expansions, and complex renovations . This role requires expertise managing both active, occupied facilities and large-scale new construction environments.
The ideal candidate has experience leading hospital, medical office building (MOB), and healthcare renovation projects, demonstrating strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Required:
High school diploma or GED
7+ years of commercial construction experience, including healthcare, hospital, or medical facility projects
Proven track record managing ground-up and renovation projects
OSHA 30 certification (current or ability to obtain)
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple trades and priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, MS Project, and related construction management software
Preferred:
Two- or four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Experience with tilt-wall, industrial, or large commercial structures
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
Familiarity with AHCA, ICRA, and other healthcare-specific compliance standards
Develop preconstruction logistics, safety plans, and schedules for both new construction and renovation projects
Conduct pre-job meetings to define scope, sequencing, and safety measures, especially for occupied healthcare environments
Collaborate with project management and estimating teams during budgeting and subcontractor procurement
Ensure that labor, material, and equipment budgets align with project goals
Lead all field operations, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
Manage ground-up commercial and healthcare builds , from site preparation through final delivery
Oversee renovation work in active facilities, enforcing infection control and minimal disruption protocols
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and inspections to meet milestones and specifications
Maintain accurate documentation, schedules, daily logs, and photo records in project management software
Champion company and OSHA safety standards; enforce site-specific plans for high-risk work environments
Maintain clean, secure, and compliant jobsites across both new and occupied settings
Lead site safety meetings, inspections, and compliance audits
Oversee QA/QC practices and ensure all installations meet approved drawings and submittals
Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and crew leaders
Foster a collaborative, professional culture grounded in communication, accountability, and craftsmanship
Conduct weekly coordination meetings and promote alignment across project teams
Manage final inspections, punch list completion, and owner training
Support project closeout and handover documentation, including as-builts and commissioning
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Advanced knowledge of commercial and healthcare construction processes
Ability to manage ground-up builds and complex renovations with minimal supervision
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive problem solver
Technically adept and adaptable to evolving construction technologies
Must be willing to travel to regional project sites as needed
Work performed primarily on active construction sites, including occupied healthcare facilities
Exposure to variable weather, jobsite conditions, and standard construction environments
