Job Description

We’re looking for an   Audio Visual Programmer   to join a well-established   National Commercial AV Integrator   in   Austin, TX —a company you know but haven’t worked for yet! This role requires strong experience in   Crestron, Extron , and most importantly,   QSC/Q-SYS control system programming. This individual is all responsible for all Audio DSP programming (Qsys, Biamp, BSS, Dante). Plus, they offer unmatched benefits that will truly surprise you! You will also be responsible for managing their Jr. Programmer as well as building template libraries and other operational improvements.

Job Duties:

• Programming & Integration: Develop and implement control system programming for AV equipment, ensuring seamless integration and automation.
  
• System Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, enhancing system performance and reliability.
  
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients and project teams to design customized AV solutions that meet specific needs.
  
• Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive system documentation and provide training to end-users for optimal system utilization.
  
• Develop systems integration programs for QSC, Crestron, Extron, and Biamp, BSS, Dante systems
  
• Coordinate the creation and integration of A/V control system programs
  
• Troubleshoot and debug A/V systems
  
• Peer review code from fellow programmers to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  
• Complete training programs and gain certifications for manufacturers, industry associations, and companies as required
  
• Assist the company move from field commissioning to pre-commissioning as much as possible.
  

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Technical Expertise:   Proficiency in programming platforms such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, and Q-SYS, BSS, Biamp.
  
• Experience:   A minimum of 4 years in AV programming or system integration.
  
• Certifications:   Industry certifications like Crestron Certified Programmer, AMX ACE, Extron Certified, or Q-SYS Level 1 & 2, Biamp are highly required.
  
• Soft Skills:   Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to manage multiple projects effectively.
  
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Programming or equivalent experience (preferred, not required)
  
• Experience with control systems, video-conferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup, and calibration.
  
• Crestron Certified Programmer is preferred
  
• Ability to professionally communicate with clients in person or through conference
  
• Comfortable working in a collaborative team-based environment
  
• Ability to reading line diagrams, construction requirements, and floor plans.
  
• In-depth Knowledge of AV fundamentals and Avixa best practices
