You will play a key role in evaluating supplier performance, negotiating terms, and coordinating purchasing activities to meet current and future business needs. **What You'll Work On** + Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, timing, and reliability. + Recognize and leverage sales, promotional campaigns, and cost-saving opportunities. + Assess supplier products for compliance with specifications and quality standards. + Analyze and evaluate bids, tenders, proposals, and quotations. + Negotiate pricing and delivery conditions to secure favorable terms. + Commit to purchases within established authority limits in the organization's best interest. + Interpret inventory requests, production schedules, and purchase requisitions to align purchasing with demand. + Monitor quality and timeliness of delivered goods and materials. + Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. + Communicate order status and updates to internal stakeholders. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree: Engineering, Science, Business, or Financial Degrees. + 1-3 years of Procurement experience. + Strong analytical and negotiation skills. + Ability to interpret inventory and production documents. + Experience in supplier evaluation and procurement processes. + Excellent communication and organizational skills. **Preferred Qualifications** + Prior experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain role. + Familiarity with tender and bid evaluation processes. + Knowledge of quality standards and compliance requirements. + Proficiency in procurement systems or ERP tools. **Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:** Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
